Section 11 Aircraft Operations

11.03 Before shutting down you can verify that the aircraft's ELT is not transmitting by

  1. checking that the ELT switch is in the off position.
  2. listening on 121.5 MHz for a signal.
  3. ensuring that the master switch is off.
  4. checking the ELT visual warning light.
